(The words that I already knew I marked with asterisks and guessed at the definitions. The definitions I guessed right are in italics, and the ones I got wrong are crossed out. (continued from last week)

The room was dank, and sourly fetid. Like rotten lemons. The Earl must not have bothered with infrastructure like air circulation.

Despite the surroundings, Flame Princess blazed fervidly. The end of Lemongrab's heyday would be the beginning of her own. She'd make the Lemons truckle to her demands, and reduce them to obsequious sycophants. She'd lie, steal, fight, cheat, and inveigle all the kings out of their kingdoms, starting with her bete noire Lemongrab, until her rule was ecumenical. The Fire Kingdom would be gargantuan! Her vision raised her to a sort of beatitude.

"Listen Lemongrab! Your Earldom is mine, and there's nothing you can--"

Before she could finish her sentence, Lemongrab had turned on her with his Sound Sword. "Who dares intrude on the Lemongrounds? Unacceptabllllllllle!!"

Hit with the full force of the Sound Sword, Flame Princess was blasted against the wall of the room. Her crown slipped off her head as she slumped into a puddle and turned blue. The situation did not bode well for her. Her vision was filled with the apparition of a watery incubus until--

"Flame Princess?!" Finn had burst through the doorway into the room.

"Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!" screamed Lemongrab, enraged at the sight of his earlier conqueror's appearance. Finn ducked to avoid the Sound Sword beam, which instead hit the mirror shield that Cinnamon Bun, Flame Princess's protégé, was carrying. The beam was reflected back at Lemongrab, who screeched and stumbled backwards towards the window.

"Kudos for having such a strong weapon, but how do you like it when it's used against you?" demanded Finn. With that, he kicked Lemongrab out of the window, yelling after him, "And that's for lagniappe!"

He rushed to Flame Princess, who was beginning to recover. "Flame Princess! Are you okay?"

She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. I don't know what came over me, I just suddenly felt like I needed to take over everything, ever since..."

She trailed off, thinking. Gradually, something dawned on her as her eyes settled on her crown, still lying on the floor where it had fallen.

Finn picked it up for her. "Don't worry about it, Flame Princess. C'mon, let's get out of here."

"Okay." Flame Princess smiled. "Thanks, Finn."

THE END

Unfortunately, I couldn't quite use all the words in the story, without going totally out of my way into prolix rambling, so I have to do another one of these cheaty afterwords (you can see the prototype from Week Three here).

Even when I was writing my original story arc about the Lemongrabs, I knew I wanted to write something about Flame Princess, 'cause in case you haven't noticed I totally ship Finn and FP. However, I didn't want to write anything too shippy, considering the recent episode Earth & Water (besides the fact that this is a school assignment and it would just be totes awk) and so far I've been reset-buttoning-it so as not to stray too far from canon. However, depending on the interpretation of the ending to this story, I may or may not have actually hit the reset button this time! You'll just have to keep reading my vocab fanfics to find out :)
